Rafters take a run through Rocky Ford Rapid (Class III)

Most visitors come to the Niobrara to run the river between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, but there are many other activities and adventures awaiting you.

See "Things to Do" for other possibilities which include, hiking, camping, fishing, horseback riding and nearby biking.

Off-season floats offer visitors better opportunities for solitude, chances to see other wildlife like neotropical migrants and waterfowl, fall foliage displays, and a different river experience when running rapids during spring water levels.
